Hello Everyone,
I hope you've enjoyed the holidays. Congratulations to all of you who participated in A Christmas Tapestry in December. It was a magnificient concert. Randy did an amazing job, as always, putting the whole event together. Several audience members were very complimentary about the evening. Thank you for all your efforts in making both the concert and the watercolor raffle a great success. Your continued participation and support of our concerts is wonderful and greatly appreciated.
The Spring Rehearsal Season, under the direction of out assistant artistic director, Mark Bunce, will begin on Monday, January 23, 7:30 p.m., in room 224 of Johnson Hall at Herkimer County Community College. Rehearsals are two hours each week, concluding at 9:30 p.m.. New members are ALWAYS welcomed...please feel free to invite another singer to join us.
The next concert, Reflections on Rutter, the music of John Rutter is scheduled for Sunday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m.. It will be pressented at Annunciation Church in Ilion. Dress Rehearsal will be the preceding Monday Evening, May 14.
For this, the final concert of our 30th performance season, the Choral Society will perform; "I will Sing with the Spirit," "Be Thou My Vision," and "O, Be Joyful in the Lord." The members of the Ilion High School Chamber Choir will also perform three Rutter numbers. Following intermission, the Chamber Choir will join us for Rutter's Mass of the Children. Guest soloists will be Anita Firman and Michael Roddy.
The music cost is $15.00. The Choral Society Dues for the semester will be $12.00.
