Each Spring, the Mohawk Valley Choral Society is pleased to to be able to sponsor vocal scholarships for the following academic year.  The scholarships will be awarded to Junior and/or Senior vocal students attending Herkimer or Oneida County high schools.  The goal of these awards is to help both develop and encourage vocal talent in the Mohawk Valley.

The scholarship will include FREE vocal lessons for the academic year.   The value of each scholarship is approximately $500.00.

The winning students will be required to participate in the weekly vocal lessons as well as the Monday evening rehearsals of the Choral Society at HCCC from 7:30-9:30 PM, the dress rehearsal in late November, and the concert in early December.  There will be a second concert season, commencing in mid-January 2013 and culminating in the spring concert in May 2013.  The required lessons and rehearsals will continue throughout the spring season.

Auditions will be held to determine the scholarship recipients.  These auditions will be limited to the first TWELVE who apply.
